Bayer develops its activity in our country in two business areas, which encompass a number of specific situations and applications: HealthCare and CropScience.
Bayer currently employs around 2,000 people in Italy, with 2 production sites and turnover (sales) of approximately 1 billion euros*.
The headquarters of Bayer in Italy are in viale Certosa 130 in Milan.
The flexible and autonomous organizational structure is made up of companies that allow the Group to be present and operate in different strategic contents of primary importance.
These include:
- Bayer S.p.A., which heads the activities in the field of human, seeds and animal health.
- Bayer HealthCare Manufacturing S.r.l. which produces and import special pharmaceuticals, as well as distributing biological medical products.
- Bayer CropScience S.r.l., Monsanto Agricoltura Italia S.rl.: which operates in the area of crop protection, seeds, gardening, environmental hygiene and sanitation.
The deep roots of the Group in Italian territory are the fruit of the traditional openness of the company to the institutions and to society, as well as the result of its desire to accomplish its mission, Science For A Better Life.
